The Clinical Psychology program at the New School for Social Research prides itself in its long tradition of its psychodynamic orientation.  While the training also includes components of CBT intervention, there are several faculty members who are trained psychoanalysts, with expertise in adult and child treatment. Each year courses are offered in Freudian thought, relational and object relations psychoanalysis as well as psychodynamically oriented treatment for child, adolescent and family work.
